Stephens said in a separate video on Facebook on Sunday that he had already killed a dozen others.

A post shared online and in the media from Lane's now-deleted Facebook page says she "can't believe this is happening".

"I looked out and I'm like, 'It sure does look a lot like him, '" DuCharme remembered.

"I can say that everything is fine".

Lane said she's devastated that the victim said her name before he was shot. "And that's been hard", she said. She said they remained friends after their breakup and she wanted to get him help for his gambling problem. He had told her that he left his job and was moving out of Ohio.

The Godwin sisters told Lane that none of this was her fault and that they don't hold any animosity for her.

Stephens was the target of an intense manhunt in the Easter Sunday slaying of mechanic Robert Godwin.

After the fatal shooting of the self-taught mechanic and grandfather of 14, authorities nationwide scrambled for two days to find Stephens.

The order came through the McDonald's drive-thru window in Harborcreek Township, Pennsylvania: Chicken McNuggets and a side of fries.

"The troopers attempted a PIT [precision immobilization technique] maneuver to disable Stephens' vehicle, a white Ford Fusion", Pennsylvania State Police explained.

Those beliefs were confirmed Tuesday around 11:10 a.m., when Pennsylvania State Police spotted Stephens' vehicle and attempted to pull him over.

Authorities had hoped for a different outcome.

"We are grateful that this has ended", said Cleveland Division of Police Chief Calvin Williams.

We've all heard that statement but the anxiety that Stephens must have had at that moment would have been less joy than than that watered down one dollar diet coke he was sipping on.

WKYC's Jasmine Monroe met with Godwin's family Tuesday afternoon to discuss the news of Stephens' death.

"I love him and I forgive him".

Godwin will be laid to rest this Saturday.
