BLANCHESTER, Ohio (WLWT)A woman was found trapped in a hole inside a shed at a Blanchester home Wednesday, police said. Police in Blanchester, about 40 miles northeast of Cincinnati, said the owner of the shed, Dennis Dunn, was arrested on Wednesday and was taken to a hospital.

Elliott was found Wednesday around 4 a.m. when neighbors heard her screaming from inside the shed.

Elliott's mother, Gayle Rowe, who lives with her daughter and grandson next door, reported Elliott missing at about 1:30 a.m.

"After the incident in early April in which Dunn was disarmed by a police officer, I made comments to the press stating my belief that the mental health system in OH is broken".

Dunn was involuntarily admitted to the local hospital for a psychiatric evaluation following one such call, when police returned to his home because neighbors said he was in his yard with a gun. It is not known at this time if he has an attorney who can comment on his behalf. According to WCOP Cincinnati, Elliott told police that Dunn was sending her "harassing phone calls and text messages" in October, 2016, but declined to press charges against him. A wooden board was covering the pit behind 113 Central Ave., and heavy objects were placed on the board to hold it down, police said.

On Wednesday, April 26, a man in Blanchester, Ohio, Dennis Dunn, was arrested by the police after he allegedly kidnapped his neighbor, Jennifer Elliot, and put her in a pit he had dug in his shed.

"Blanchester Police have obtained search warrant for Dennis Dunn's home; they are processing the scene inside at this time", wrote Vines.

A woman, held captive in a pit in a shed by a neighbour with mental health issues, was rescued by police.

Emily Noe was spending the night at her father's house.

Reinbolt said he thinks Ohio's mental healthcare system is broken.

Earlier this month, Dunn called the police several times saying people were trying to break into his home, but police found no evidence of intruders.

Authorities said they took him to Clinton Memorial Hospital. The woman was found alive in a 3 1/2 feet deep hole with wood over the top of it.
