The video that was retweeted thousands of times shows a Pakistani bunker along the LoC destroyed post mortar fire - launched by India - near the Krishna Ghati sector - the same region where the soldiers were mutilated on May 1. Though the video did detail action against Pakistani posts, it was shot much before the beheadings.

At least one incident of ceasefire violation by Pakistan has been reported daily along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir in 2015 and 2016, with 23 security personnel being killed in the two years, the home ministry has said in an RTI reply.

Pakistan on Sunday claimed that its four civilians were injured in cross-LoC firing by Indian forces.

But reports differ on the timing and exact location of the attack. In this video you can see how the Indian Army destroyed a Pakistan bunker.

Various insurgent groups have been fighting for decades for Kashmir's independence from India or merger with Pakistan. "Indian Army responds to Pak in the language they understand", Gaurav Arya, an army veteran, wrote on Twitter.

The video could have been shot just a few days ahead of the beheading of two Indian jawans by Pakitani security forces. "We have beefed up our counter-infiltration postures". The BAT attackers used this as a cover and entered the Indian side and allegedly beheaded Naib Subedar Paramjeet Singh of 22 Sikh Infantry and Head Constable Prem Sagar of 200th Battalion of BSF.

On Thursday, Army Chief Gen. Bipin Rawat, skirting a query, had cryptically said: "We don't talk about future plans beforehand".
