In the full Radio 1 interview, Styles mentions that he wrote one song on the album a few years ago, though he doesn't say which.

When listening to Harry Styles' solo debut, it will be hard to not think of David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Elton John and other rock icons who came decades before the former boy bander. "You can do all the same things, but sometimes it's just different", he reluctantly added. "2017. Philosopher. London. England". "Here we go, the one about Taylor Swift", he said, before playing the song on air.

Twitter took the singer reaction as solid confirmation, and reacted just how you'd expect.

Amid the track explanations, Grimshaw also addressed recent news stories that Styles had unsuccessfully stage-dived at an album release party in New York City - something Styles had been eager to try, but may never attempt again.

He admitted: "The person who it's about found out because their dad was watching the Today show and left a voicemail saying "I think he wrote a song about you". Then again, he's dated some famous women (you heard about his relationship to Taylor Swift even if you didn't care to) whom he probably runs into at events with famous people. But despite looking to the past for his sound apart from One Direction, Styles proves he's worth checking out. Fans are convinced that the British singer's song "Two Ghosts" is about his former love, after they got a sneak peek at the lyrics in a promo clip for Harry's upcoming documentary Behind the Album. The line in particular, in context of the verse, paints the picture of the feeling that I was going at.

Harry Styles has very awkwardly answered questions about his latest album referring to Taylor Swift.

"Certain things don't work out".

"The f***ing T emphasis at the end of two ghosts could you be more obvious @Harry_Styles", @inperfects wrote. "In writing songs about stuff like that, I like tipping a hat to the time together".

We got Kevin to give Harry Styles a listen during his break at work.
