Michelle Obama criticizes Trump school lunch decision

The former first lady criticized the Trump administration on Friday for rolling back regulations that policed the healthiness of federally-subsidized school lunches.

"We need to look our neighbours in the eye and kind of go: 'What is going on?' Because this just isn't that complicated, you know".

"Evidently riled, Obama continued: "'You shouldn't know what you're eating.' Think about that.

The move partially rolls back rules the former first lady supported as part of her "Let's Move" anti-childhood obesity initiative, but leaves most of the Obama administration's school meal rules in place.

Michelle Obama has not hidden her disgust in Donald Trump's move to dismantle her healthy eating initiative, asking "what's wrong with you?"

"President's good. You know, running around out there in the world with his shirt unbuttoned", Mrs Obama joked, in reference a speech given by the former president earlier in the week in Italy during which he was tie-less and kept his shirt unbuttoned at the top. They also have books to write and money to raise for the presidential center they plan to build on the South Side of her native Chicago.

'How about we not let kids completely guide everything?' she said, . "What are we gonna do, stop teaching math?"

During the election, Obama said that the sexist language used by Trump, especially in the "Access Hollywood" tape, "has shaken me to my core in a way that I couldn't have predicted". You can't handle that, Mom. "This wasn't 'fake news, '" she said.

"Well, 'You just buy the food and be quiet".

"First lady for life", a man called out as she spoke.

"So consumers out there - again, I don't care where you're from, what your party is - I would be highly insulted by that thought". Mrs. Obama's work on nutrition was often controversial during her husband's time in office. Some schools and parents accused the first lady of making school meals unpalatable for children, while imperiling the finances of cafeterias and increasing food waste.

"I don't care what state you live in, take me out of the equation - like me, don't like me - but think about why someone is OK with your kids eating crap".
