Matches to Make After UFC 211

Andrade was successful on a couple of takedown attempts in the opening frame, but was unable to do much follow-up damage, as Jedrzejczyk was adept out getting out of trouble and landing shots as she returned to her feet.

The closing stages were a formality and the nature of both this win and the way Jedrzejczyk has cleaned up the division, leaves questions as to what more she can achieve at strawweight. It's a bold claim made by the UFC champion, but one she seems determined to prove.

She's been given some prime co-main event slots in her two years as strawweight champion, and fighting right before a heavyweight title fight should give her some nice exposure, too, but it's time for Jedrzejczyk to become the star she deserves to be.

Reigning UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor congratulated Jedrzejczyk in a tweet, calling her a "ferocious fighter". "No one is taking this belt from me".

When Jedrzejczyk won the title in Dallas two years ago, she referred to the championship belt as her "baby" and said no one would get it.

Asked during the FS1 post fight show following her victory over Jessica Andrade about who's next, Jedrzejczyk stared intensely into the camera and returned fire.

Jedrzejczyk's performance was nothing short of masterful, as the Polish titleholder cruised to a unanimous decision over the heavy-hitting Jessica Andrade. When they land, his opponents go down. "So Jessica hasn't fought five rounds yet, but she will have this opportunity".

Nevertheless, Jedrzejczyk worked her way back to the feet, where she began attacking with hard strikes in the clinch.

"I think I could knock her out, I could finish her".

Ms. Andrade tried to mount a fightback in the final round but Mr. Jedrzejczyk would not allow anything such to happen and held on for the win.

Jedrzejczyk took the center of the cage and immediately began stabbing at her opponent with long range shots. Andrade chased her toward the end of the round, looking to land a big shot, but when that didn't come she settled for a slam.

Ms. Jedrzejczyk has a lofty goal for herself. Yes, that record stands at two, but after years of watching heavyweight champions come and go, Miocic seems like he's finally the man to assert dominance over the division. "I feel like I stepped on a different level and I'm looking forward - I'm going on vacation for a few days, flying back to Poland to spend some time with my family, but I can not wait to get back to ATT and put on work again with my team, because it's wonderful".

He might not care about his place in history, but it's going to be talked about a lot in the coming months no matter what Miocic says. "I will put on great work and defend this title for the sixth time".

Joanna also credits her coaches, whom she places her complete faith in, for helping her win the UFC title and helping her keep it away from her rivals.
