Plane Carrying NYC Designer, Young Sons Disappears Near Bahamas

A US Coast Guard helicopter found a "debris field of a plane" - including a seat - floating Tuesday in the waters near where an aircraft carrying a Manhattan CEO, her two kids and boyfriend was last heard from, officials said.

The plane departed from Borinquen, Puerto Rico, at about 11 a.m. Monday and was en route to Titusville when contact was lost.

The people on board the plane were identified as Jennifer Blumin of NY and Nathan Ulrich of Lee, New Hampshire along with his two sons.

The plane was en route from Puerto Rico to of Titusville, Florida, when USA air traffic control lost all contact with it east of Eleuthera island about 1:30 p.m. Monday, the Coast Guard and the Federal Aviation Administration said.

Ulrich is a pilot from Lee, New Hampshire.

"We can confirm that the plane carrying Jennifer Blumin and members of her family has gone missing after taking off from Puerto Rico yesterday", a statement from Skylight Group read.

"There's no indication of significant adverse weather at the time", Lt. Cmdr. Their plane, tail number N220N, was at about 24,000 feet when air traffic control lost contact. The couple were profiled in a 2015 New York Times article after they bought a TriBeCa loft. In a tweet, actress Rae Dawn Chong said he is her ex-husband.
