- Alexandra Raisman (@Aly_Raisman) May 24, 2017I work very hard to be healthy & fit.

Aly Raisman at a gymnastics event a year ago. Late past year, she revealed that boys at her school teased her when she was younger because they found her muscular arms "weird and gross", as first reported by People.

Then, she spelled out the plain and simple truth: If you're a man who can't possibly believe that a woman has muscles, or refuses to acknowledge them, you're sexist.

"It's a really great feeling of accomplishment when you leave the gym everyday and you're just exhausted, she says".

According to Raisman's tweets, the man continued to stare at her. "Staring at me shaking his head like it couldn't be me cause I didn't look "strong enough" to him?"

As a reminder, Raisman's body has won her six Olympic medals - three gold, two silver, and a bronze.

Raisman's followers - she has over 933,000 of them on Twitter - were quick to back her, saying she doesn't have anything to prove to anyone.

"Gymnast?" she said. "I recognized you by your biceps".

This is not the first time Raisman has spoken out about being judged. We regret that the screening experience did not meet Ms. Raisman's expectations and look forward to hearing from her'. "I love my body".

"But that doesn't give anyone the right to judge me", added the Olympian.

"They were really capturing, 'strong is really handsome, ' and I'm really excited for everyone to see it".
