Well, it seems to be the beginning of a tease of some sort of new content.

The tweet came in the form of an in-universe news bulletin concerning the "possible fate of Horizon Lunar Colony" and unless you're heavily invested in the game's lore, it's going to be hella cryptic. It sheds light on the program taking place in Horizon Lunar Colony. The colony went offline when the gorillas rebelled and all contact was lost. Based on the transmissions, it looks like this teaser could be for a new gorilla hero after Winston, possibly named Hammond.

Overwatch's Horizon Lunar Colony was, according to in-game fiction, "established as a first step for humanity's renewed exploration of space". Where's Hammond? You'll notice his name mentioned in the messages above.

Blizzard has begun teasing a new multiplayer map for the community, which also inadvertently confirms the arrival of the next Overwatch hero. The team of scientists took with them a group of genetically enhanced gorillas in order to test the effects of prolonged habitation in space. You can check out the correspondence for yourselves below, which make mention of playable character Winston's mentor, as well as a critical emergency that occurred on the facility.

The arrival of the game's 25th hero could be imminent. Blizzard added three new maps to Overwatch but these were for the 1v1 and 3v3 Arcade modes that recently went live with the Anniversary Event. But it could equally be likely that Blizzard is gearing up to launch new Overwatch animated shorts or new comic issue too.
