According to Ubisoft, the story begins when the Rabbids are mysteriously transported to the Mushroom Kingdom. Here's why I'm looking forward to the game! But as it turns out, the cross-over is actually pretty impressive-looking. The strategy game has seen many leaks over the last few weeks and months, and now we have official confirmation, a trailer, and a release date.

To literally no one's surprise, Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle has been officially revealed by Ubisoft at their E3 2017 Press Conference.

It's being developed by a team in Paris, and is described as a "tactical adventure".

Ubisoft has announced their new Nintendo exclusive title Mario Rabidds: Kingdom Battles.

"This game is more tactical based". The gameplay demonstration at the conference offers us a glimpse of mix match attack options, move, and abilities. Pre-orders of either the standard or Collector's editions will also get you the pre-order bonus Pixel Pack, which includes eight bonus weapons.

We've waited years for this trailer, and we'll likely wait years to actually play the game. Don't expect a platformer like a traditional Mario title.

Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Peach star in the game and Rabbids will dress like them.

Immediately, it's evident this is, indeed, a Mario game. You will collect coins, solve puzzles, and find hidden chests containing items and gear that will help your team grow stronger against the increasingly challenging enemies that you will face.

The Mushroom Kingdom has been torn apart by a mysterious vortex, transporting the chaotic Rabbids into this once peaceful land.

Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Yoshi join forces with four Rabbids heroes with their own unique personalities!

They power posed with a couple of weapons.

The game switches between exploration modes and battle modes, where players use cover and teamwork to flank enemy Rabbids.
