Miles Teller was thrown into jail early Sunday morning (June 18, 2017) after failing to cooperate with San Diego police.

The officer approached the actor, who cops say appeared to have bloodshot eyes, was swaying side to side and was slurring his words. However, according to police, the actor refused to follow directions and the staff rejected him, leading to his drunk in public arrest.

As officers were talking with him, Teller lost his balance and nearly fell into the street, Hernandez said.

Plot twist - Teller was then taken to the centre any way where volunteers ultimately made a decision to refuse to accept Teller.

The city of San Diego allows intoxicated people to check into detox centers run by volunteers in lieu of facing arrest. "I wasn't arrested I was detained bc there was no evidence to charge me with a crime", Miles tweeted. He was in jail for around 4 hours and he was released without bail.

His rep did not provide a comment to TMZ.

The actor most recently made headlines in December after being involved in a scary vehicle accident with his girlfriend, Keleigh Sperry, after an Uber driver slammed into his truck. The other driver pulled into oncoming traffic, and the bad accident was unavoidable.
