Standalone Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is coming out next week

Recently rumors were swirling around about a standalone Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered version hitting the shelves, and now it appears that these rumors have come to fruition as Activision has just announced that it indeed would be becoming a reality, and would release on the PS4 next week.

It should be noted that the Variety Map Pack will not be included with the game. This re-release sports a handful of upgrades, including new higher resolution textures, lighting and rendering upgrades, enhanced sound effects, and a few quality of life upgrades. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is indeed being released as a standalone game, and you can pick it up this coming Tuesday, June 27 on PlayStation 4.

Modern Warfare Remastered will be available on June 27th.

"It's been an honor to bring this great title, which holds such a special place in our hearts, to a new generation of players", said Brian Raffel, studio head of Raven Software, in a statement.

Along with the campaign and all 16 multiplayer maps at launch, PS4 players will also have a chance to participate in the "Days of Summer" event. No detail was too small, as the team pored over every aspect of development.
