Power Boosts And Special Options Define New Aston Martin Vantage AMR Twins

As a starting point for the new AMR models we get the Aston Martin Vantage AMR - perhaps Aston's sportiest model - which can be had as a V8 AMR or V12 AMR, and, we're promised, will be followed by AMR models across the AML range. This link is reflected directly via the various colors on offer, which in the case of the Vantage AMR includes Stratus White with an Orange graphic; Ultramarine Black with Blue graphic; Zaffre Blue with Red graphic; and Scintilla Silver with Gray graphic.

Vantage is synonymous with extreme performance Aston Martins since 1950s.

You can choose from either a seven speed manual transmission or Aston Martin's automated sequential manual paddle-shift transmissions. Hence, it is not surprising that the company has chosen Vantage model as the first AMR model to enter production. In addition, the AMR Halo Pack adds Stirling Green paint and vivid Lime Green accents, inspired from the Aston Martin Racing's 2016 World Endurance Championship-winning #95 Vantage GTE. Just 300 examples of the race-inspired model will be built - 100 with a V12 engine and 200 with a V8. AMR also offer a "Halo Pack" taking direct inspiration from Aston Martin's 2016 WEC race auto, donning a Stirling Green paint with Lime accents, similar to the concept models seen at Geneva. Buyers can also spec the same "forged aluminium wheels that take their honeycomb design from the Vantage AMR Pro concept seen at the Geneva motor show".

The interior's all done in leather (and Alcantara on the coupe) with colors chosen to match the exterior treatment. The V8 Vantage AMR's 5-spoke alloy wheels and the V12 Vantage AMR's lightweight 10-spoke alloy wheels have three different finishes. The firm's new AMR variant is meant to be the popular front-engined sports car's swansong.

"The Vantage has been an incredible success for Aston Martin, both in V8 and V12 forms". Front splitter and dive planes, plus side sills and a fixed rear spoiler.

Pricing starts at £97,995 in the United Kingdom and €126,995 in Germany, with deliveries slated to commence later this year in select markets.
