3 shot dead in U.S. state of Alabama

A manhunt is underway for a man wanted for killing three people in the Birmingham area Wednesday morning, and authorities say the suspect could be headed to the Gulf Coast. Cops said that Kenneth's vehicle was found on the backside of the mobile home park.

"We have three victims deceased on the scene, their identities can not be released at this time", Gardendale Police said on Facebook.

Police said on Facebook they were searching for Kenneth Dion Lever, 52, of Florida, calling him "armed and unsafe".

'If you see this individual do not approach him, and call 911 immediately - he is armed and risky, ' Walker said in an appeal to the public.

Authorities say he fled into the woods after the shooting shortly after 8 a.m. Investigators reportedly believe it was a domestic-related incident, reports Al.com.

In that case, a 6-year-old victim at the time accused Lever of sexually assaulting her beginning in June 2005, the York Dispatch reported.

According to a report, the shooter identified as Kenneth Dion Lever killed three people. "He is considered armed and risky", Gardendale Police said.

According to the York Dispatch report, the girl told police that she was molested in the basement of Lever's home in Lower Windsor and also in the upstairs.

Lever was placed in York County Prison on October 12, 2015, on the first case on $100,000 and was bailed out the next day.

Lever was set to be due in court for both cases in September. 'My daughter has a different disposition when she returns home, ' the woman wrote.

Police have nevertheless urged the public for vigilance and seek any information in the manhunt that now includes the entire state of Alabama and the Florida panhandle.

'She is very clingy to me and will not let me leave her.

A hearing in the Alabama case is scheduled for July 26, a court docket showed.
