Frank Sinatra's fourth wife dies aged 90

Barbara died Tuesday at her Rancho Mirage home in California after months of declining health. according to a rep for her org, the Barbara Sinatra Children's Center Foundation.

Barbara Sinatra married the iconic singer in 1976 and they remained married until his death in 1998.

The former model died almost 20 years after Frank Sinatra died of a heart attack at the age of 82.

CNN reports that Sinatra died of natural causes, according to the director of her charity, the Barbara Sinatra Children's Center.

The former model, who gained prominence as "Lady Blue Eyes", passed away this morning at her California home.

Barbara is survived by her son from a previous marriage to Robert Oliver Marx, his wife Hillary Roberts and her granddaughter Carina Blakeley Marx.

She was the last of Sinatra's four wives, their partnership being the longest lasting of the Fly Me To The Moon singer's marriages. She was 90 years old.

"I've tried to analyse it", she told The Desert Sun, of her attraction and subsequent romance with Sinatra.

Barbara and Frank Sinatra were married for nearly 22 years until his death in 1998.

Barbara became involved in supporting and raising funds for a number of charitable projects years after she married Sinatra.

After her husband's death, Sinatra had the Barbara Sinatra Children's Center built to help abused children at Eisenhower Medical Center.

In the years since, Thoresen said, more than 20,000 children have been treated at the center in the desert city of Rancho Mirage and hundreds of thousands more throughout the world through videos it provides.
