Bradley Byrne: Congress will keep doing its job despite White House turmoil

Friend Ainsley Earhardt first asked Conway why Anthony Scaramucci's tweet accusing someone of leaking his financial disclosure information included mention of chief of staff Reince Priebus.

But Scaramucci, in a tweet Wednesday night, seemed to imply Priebus had leaked the form to make him look bad, or knew who did, and called for an FBI investigation. Although he is new to the White House, Scaramucci had been employed at a senior level by the Export-Import Bank since June 19.

Scaramucci, who has vowed to take down leakers in the White House, had once described Priebus as his "brother". Other brothers can fight with each other and get along.

"Some brothers are like Cain and Abel", Scaramucci said, referring to the story in the Bible about a man who murdered his own brother out of jealousy.

"Like the Attorney General has said, 'whenever a case can be made we will seek to put some people in jail, ' and we will aggressively pursue leak cases wherever they may lead", she added.

Scaramucci is incorrect in saying the leak is a felony, since the financial form is a public document.

The brash new communications chief ominously added that he and President Trump "have a very, very good idea of who the leakers are, who the senior leakers are in the White House".

But on Thursday morning, Scaramucci again called out Priebus. But I can tell you two fish that don't stink, OK? "He is responsible for understanding and uncovering and helping me do that inside the White House, which is why I put that tweet out last night".

The financial disclosure forms were not leaked but were publicly accessible upon request, Politico noted. "I don't know if this is reparable or not, that's up to the president".

"We agree with Anthony (Scaramucci) that these staggering number of leaks are undermining the ability of our government to function and to protect this country", Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores said.

Then Scaramucci deleted the tweet, and in a new tweet said that assumption was "wrong!" Scaramucci founded SkyBridge in 2005, and is still listed on its website as the managing director of the investment firm, Politico reports, even though he's been a government employee for more than a month. "The fish stinks from the head", Scaramucci said, "If Reince wants to explain he's not a leaker, let him do that".

Speaking on CNN Thursday morning, Scaramucci was more explicit about his tweet.

He then said he respected journalists like Lizza for not telling him who the leakers in the White House are because "I understand and respect journalistic integrity".
