SPORTING director Piero Ausilio is adamant Ivan Perisic will not be sold as he revealed talks are underway regarding a new contract for the Manchester United target.

"First of all, it is not true, talking about Antonio, that he has been questioned: never put on the market, together with him we are trying to build a great Inter", he told Premium Sport.

However, Mourinho has admitted that the signing of Matic could be the last transfer activity seen this summer.

Manchester United must target Premier League glory this season, according to former Old Trafford favourite Jaap Stam.

The 25-year-old Brazilian's imminent move has to led to questions as to how PSG can afford such a significant fee without breaching UEFA's Financial Fair Play regulations.

"The same goes for Perisic, who is an important player and we are now discussing a new contract with him". The two-time Champions League victor still wants three more signings - two full-backs and a wide player - but is understood to have accepted that one new face might be the limit of the club's remaining activity this summer.

"That makes it interesting as well because if you look at the other teams as well, they're all bringing good players in because they all want to win the league or do well in the Champions League".

Lat week, Inter's manager Spalletti stated that they would be willing to consider offers from United, but only if they could find a suitable replacement for Perisic. But this is not true.

"We need options. Lukaku, Martial, Rashford - all of them are different players".
