First-year head coach Vance Joseph will name Trevor Siemian the Denver Broncos' starting quarterback. Kubiak formally named Siemian the starter the Monday after the team's third preseason game, when Siemian finished 10-of-17 for 122 yards and a touchdown against the Los Angeles Rams.

Denver Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian (13) passes during the second quarter against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.

Lynch was 9 of 13 and showed good pocket presence by scrambling out of trouble a few times, but managed only 39 yards through the air in less than two quarters.

Kyle Sloter: 7-for-7, 50 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT, 0 sacks.

Siemian won the starting job over Lynch last preseason as well, but the team re-opened the competition this offseason on hopes that Lynch could develop. "So I was pleased with Trevor". Siemian came off the bench and completed 8/11 passes for 93 yards and a touchdown. He was 8-6 as the team's starter, posting a quarterback rating of 84.6.

Joseph told reporters that the Broncos are all in agreement with the decision. He also boasts more experience than the 23-year-old Lynch and the rookie Kelly, having started 14 games for the Broncos last season. "Still, no doubt, I have a long way to go again, but yeah, I think that's it". He had no interceptions or touchdowns and posted a quarterback rating of 74.2.

"The time frame's not important", Joseph said Saturday night. He hasn't thrown an interception.
