Neymar is having just the right start with his new team Paris Saint-Germain after a world record transfer move of 222 million away from Barcelona where he enjoyed lots of success.

The Brazil global made the move to the French club after they met his buyout clause earlier this month.

The lawsuit was filed on August 11 with the Labour Tribunal in Barcelona, and the club is demanding that Neymar repay the portion of the renewal bonus he received upon officially signing a new five-year deal with the club last October.

Neymar signed a contract extension with the Catalan giants in October a year ago before leaving for Paris earlier this month in a €222 million deal.

What could you buy for Neymar's transfer fee? They also want an additional 10 per cent interest.

The statement continued: "The club also requests Paris St-Germain take on responsibility for the payment of these fees if the player can not do so himself".

Neymar has made an excellent start to life in France, marking his debut with a goal and an assist against Guingamp and then scoring twice, and assisting another two, during the 6-2 home win over Toulouse on Sunday evening.

"There were three conditions - one, that the player didn't negotiate with another club before July 31; two, that he publicly expressed his decision to fulfil his contract; and three, the payment was to be made on September 1 to ensure he didn't go to another club", Vives said.

At the weekend, Neymar criticised the Barcelona board after helping PSG beat Toulouse in Ligue 1. "For me, they are not the people who should be there, for the direction of Barca". "For me. ... Well, actually I have something to say: That I am disappointed with them. Barca deserve much better, and everyone knows this".
