Injustice 2 Adding Hellboy to its Roster

The second batch of Injustice 2 DLC characters have been unveiled, and they include some pretty awesome surprises.

The three fighters included in the upcoming Injustice 2 fighter pack are Black Manta, Hellboy and Raiden.

The fighters are just the latest batch of post launch content that Injustice 2 has been so great about rolling out at a consistent rate. If this follows the pattern of the first Fighter Pack, we could get the next characters a month or two after.

Injustice 2's Fighter Pack 1 is now available to purchase separately and includes Red Hood, Starfire and Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat (who were each detailed separately).

Check out the Fighter Pack 2 trailer below. While every other Injustice 2 character is rendered in a realistic fashion that occasionally borders the uncanny valley - especially Superman and Braniac - Hellboy is extremely stylized and looks as if he jumped off the pages of one of his graphic novel. The footage showed the aftermath of a fight between Raiden, Sub-Zero and Red Hood after Raiden uses his powers as a thunder god to incapacitate the pair of them.

Black Manta is a villain defined by an oceanic battle suit with multiple weapons attached to it and jet pack. Things are about to get interesting.

No doubt we'll see these characters coming in September, October, and November, but keep in mind that NetherRealm still has three more characters coming after that.

The inclusion of Hellboy marks the first time that the studio has branched outside of the DC/Mortal Kombat, with the character stemming from Dark Horse Comics.

What do you make of the new additions? From one of the silhouettes, it looks like The Atom may be coming to our screens.
