Overwatch's Next Map Is Blizzard World, A Tribute To Blizzard Games

BlizzCon 2017 is now in full swing at the Anaheim Convention Center, and Blizzard used the show's opening ceremonies to reveal a ton of new Overwatch goodness.

However, the reveal trailer has shown that she apparently has ties to both Talon and Reaper, and is possibly the person who stitched Gabriel Reyes back together to create the smokey, psychotic killer that Reaper is today. Able to alter DNA at a cellular level, it looked like one of the best steps to stamping out diseases and disorders that had ever been researched, but her peers weren't happy with the findings.

At BlizzCon, it was also announced that Moira is a two-star difficulty hero, making her notably more challenging to play than the current support fan favorite Mercy. At the same time, she can use her biotic grasp as an attack to sap health from enemies to fuel her resources, or use her biotic orb AoE to deal damage to the enemy team instead of healing. Much like Zenyatta she's focused on healing, but can also damage her enemies through other abilities. She will take a support role in the game thanks to her biotic abilities that allow her to heal or deal damage. "Once she's charged Coalescence, Moira can save multiple allies from elimination at once or finish off weakened enemies".

Finally, we leave you with this new Overwatch short called "Honor and Glory" that tells the emotional - seriously, there might be tears - story of how Reinhardt and his brother fought during the Omnic wars.

Creative director Jeff Kaplan described the character something of a hybrid character, which is unusual for Overwatch.

Blizzard World will be part assault and part payload and released early next year.
