In a statement, Rose said, "I deeply apologize for my inappropriate behavior".

Rose, King said, "doesn't get a pass, because I can't stop thinking about the anguish of these women. that and the pain that they're going through".

One day after a bombshell Washington Post report alleging sexual harassment against Charlie Rose, the veteran journalist has been fired from CBS. But the conversation between the two did not go as planned: Rather than discussing "the full scope" of the book and her story, Kelly explained, Rose was fixated on one particular topic.

In a statement, Rose apologised and said he was "greatly embarrassed". "Both my son and my daughter called me; Oprah called me and said, 'Are you OK?' I am not OK". PBS had suspended his show late Monday after The Washington Post published an article about women who said he groped them and walked around naked in front of them.

"It takes a lot of courage for these women to come forward and I think that they should continue to do so", O'Donnell said, kicking off the emotional segment.

"This I know is true, women cannot achieve equality in the workplace or in society until there is a reckoning or taking of responsibility", Norah continued. On Tuesday's CBS This Morning, Rose's co-anchors Nora O'Donnell and Gayle King spoke frankly about the alleged behavior.

O'Donnell said there was no excuse for the behavior of which Rose is accused. "I have behaved insensitively at times, and I accept responsibility for that", Rose told the Post.

The consensus view in the television news industry is that Rose will not return to the CBS broadcast or to his nightly talk show on public broadcasting.

His persona on "CBS This Morning" was a little more whimsical, given the lighter subject matter of morning news shows in the United States. Rose said he has great respect for SUNY Oswego President Deborah Stanley and the university. "I am not okay", King admitted.

U.S. talk show host Charlie Rose has been suspended by several television networks following allegations of sexual harassment.

He adds he always felt he was pursuing shared feelings, but says he realizes he was mistaken. "Let be very clear".

"That said, Charlie does not get a pass here". "I failed. It is crushing".

I'm deeply disappointed and angry that people were victimized-and that even people not connected with these events could see their hard work undermined.
