Sunday's battle between the two players certainly was the latter, as both Talib and Crabtree were ejected mere minutes into the Week 12 contest at O.co Coliseum.

After Crabtree had been removed from the pile by tight end Jared Cook, Talib found his way back to Crabtree away from the original dust up. Talib broke one of Crabtree's chains last season as well.

The pushing led to a full-scale brawl between several players from both teams. It was wholly unnecessary to the play. Crabtree played jewelry-less on Sunday.

Lynch, who made contact with an official, ended being suspended for a subsequent game. Raiders wide receiver Michael Crabtree and Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib were dismissed after getting into a physical altercation. That got them both kicked out. Talib had to go by the Oakland bench to get to the locker room.

As things calmed down on the field, Marshawn Lynch took it upon himself to escort Talib off the field. Only 3:07 remained in the game, and two of the best players in the game were ejected.

There will be fines, maybe suspensions and a lost game for three key players.
