CNN's Anderson Cooper's hacked Twitter account calls Trump a 'pathetic loser'

After the stunning loss of Republican candidate Roy Moore in a special election to fill an Alabama Senate seat, Trump said in a Twitter post that he originally did not back Moore because he did not think Moore could win, which is why he endorsed another candidate in the Alabama primary. I guess that really does mean that you can't believe everything that you read on the Internet.

Cooper then tweeted that he "woke up to find out someone gained access to my twitter account".

Many were quick to jump to Cooper's defense after the initial tweet was posted, including CNN's Andrew Kaczynski who runs the news agency's KFILE department which is allegedly the "leading investigation team for the social, mobile generation", but even Kaczynski claimed to have no knowledge of how the initial tweet was posted.

Trump tweeted a message Wednesday morning weighing in on his flip-flopped candidacy support in the Alabama senate election.

Trump has frequently criticised the mainstream media and deemed stories that are critical of him and his policies as "fake news". "Pathetic loser", the hacker wrote.

CNN later released a statement saying that the tweet was made by someone who stole the phone of an assistant to Cooper. His assistant inadvertently left his phone unlocked and unattended at the gym early this morning, and someone took the phone and sent the tweet.

"We are looking into how this happened", he added.

"Come on Anderson. We're ok with you telling the truth".

Meanwhile, some Twitter users were not convinced of CNN's explanation regarding the alleged hack.
