But The Wall Street Journal reports that Nintendo won't be ready for another year, in order "to ensure quality". How do you feel about the premium cost of the Nintendo Switch?

Video game stories from other sites on the web. These developers are known for producing data-heavy games.

The Nintendo Switch opted to ditch larger 50GB Blu-ray discs that their competitors Microsoft and Sony live by and went the 32GB cartridge route. This decision was taken in favor of the portability of the system itself.

"Nintendo had planned to make 64GB cards available to partner developers in the second half of 2018, but recently told them that it would push the date back to 2019 owing to technical issues, according to people with direct knowledge of the discussions".

This is an interesting development for Switch fans, but it doesn't exactly come as a surprise that the console has been such a smash hit for Nintendo. This isn't really a problem for Nintendo's first-party titles. If you hoped 2018 brings more PS4 and Xbox One games to the Nintendo Switch, that seems to be far from the case. This has seen a $10 premium on the Switch version of L.A. Noire, and Square Enix adding on extra for its Dragon Quest Heroes games as the latter ships on the bigger 32GB cartridge. However, it's only a matter of time before Nintendo solves a few of these issues themselves. Currently, gamers are getting around this problem with a mix of microSD cards to dump game updates on and developers are using internet updates to get their full game on the console.
